We have been shooting video footage for the teaser for our next game. And it involves Tanya!
Hopefully next week we will be able to let you have a look. At the teaser, that is!

And it is no secret that it will be a social multiplayer game again. Just like it says at the top of this page! We have developed good proprietary technology to do these and they are just massive fun.

We are now playing a physical, real world, approximation of this game, just as we did when we were developing Gobang Social.
This way the development team can quickly develop ideas to go into the game.

We are now playing this internally, beyond the development team, and it works. Still with programmer graphics, so not very pretty.
As with Gobang Social there are two versions, free with ads or paid for with no ads.
Because our server technology and much else is already developed and proven it has taken far less time to get our second game so far down the line.

Been doing some research into the maths behind this game. It is a whole lot more sophisticated and complex than Gobang!!! Surprisingly so.
The tactics and strategy that follow from this make for a very deep game.

So Flip now has a real name that Lizzie should be revealing to the world next week.

And development is coming along apace. We are all playing it at Kwalee on our iPhones and we have extended this to some external people to further help the development process. Something called Test Flight is used to enable this.

What we call “Minimum Viable Content” (or V1.0), in other words a game we could let the public see but which is missing many features, is about three weeks away. We will add more bells and whistles in weekly iterations. With Gobang Social it wasn’t till V1.3 that we released it to the world, hopefully with Flip we can bring that forward to V1.2.

What this all means is that we will hopefully be able to unleash the game to the world in 5 to 7 weeks from now.

Keep an eye out for the game’s updates on Wednesday. We reveal Flip’s real name, as well as some awesome artwork courtesy of our art department, who have been working hard for weeks.

It won’t be going live for a couple of weeks yet, but keep an eye out for our updates before then.

PUSSY FLIP is officially announced. With a splash of social gaming, a dollop of turn-based mayhem and a gang of unruly cats thrown into the creative blender, Kwalee have lovingly mixed up the ultimate cat cocktail, Pussy Flip, their latest release for iOS devices. The basis of Pussy Flip is the traditional game of reversi, the commercial version of which is called Othello. Which is a great game with complex strategy.
Our version is designed for you to play socially on your iPhone against your friends, either using facebook or email. Or to play against random opponents from all over the world. To make it more fun and to increase the visual quality we have adopted a feline theme. Pussy Flip will be feature complete tomorrow and we then we will submit to the Apple App Store the following week. Not long until you can play the most purrrrfect reverse game on the App Store.
