Joe

This thread is for introducing yourself to the rest of the forum.

Let us know who you are, what you do and what you’re into!

I’ll start things off.

I’m Joe and I’m the Community Evangelist at Kwalee, making our office shenanigans widely available on the Internet! I like racing games…and chips.

Yo, Im Jay, and an artist here at Kwalee.

I have blue hair, shiny things on my desk and I like tea. But beside the nonsense, I work on the visuals you get to see in our games and enjoy as well as taking your opinions into consideration. I want to make sure all Kwalee games have a high artistic standard which means any suggestions and opinions are always welcome :)

I love playing RPG and Adventure games, and Japanese culture, Im 80% nerd, 20% Kung Fu Master. (who can fly)

Lizzie

I’m Lizzie, the Brand Evangelist. I produce and edit the videos, and I’m the one with the Yorkshire accent that voice them too. I also write the press releases to help keep you all in the know about Kwalee.

I have an unhealthy addiction to crisps, and iPhone games.

Helloooo :)

Bruce

I am Bruce. CMO.
My responsibility is the relationship of the company with the outside world and internal communications within the company. The latter is still pretty easy as we just shout across the room!
As you can see from the rest of this website we are trying to be as open about the company as we possibly can within the bounds of commercial sensitivities.

Our biggest current task is finding the right people to come and join the company. So we are helping programmers from the fading world of console games to make the transition to the booming world of apps.

Steven

I’m Steve, the Server Ninja.
It’s my responsibility to keep the GoBang Social server working, and to keep improving it’s functions.

I love gaming on my Xbox 360 or Wii, and am far too addicted to Achievements. Have been gaming since the Commodore VIC-20 (2 gens before the C64)

Mark

Hey there, I’m Mark, Lead Programmer.

My job involves facilitating the work of the rest of the team to do theirs. To that end I do the jobs that most programmers or artists dont want to do or worry about (legal stuff, planning, organising and scheduling, recruitment, documentation, compiling market research etc) and the jobs that help them keep working and producing the great stuff that they do (keeping the tech working, getting the right software and tools in, removing obstructions to their work, supplying cookies and tea, moving stuff around to make the office a nice and happy working environment!).

Games-wise I love RPGs, strategy games and shooters. I have temporarily managed to shelve my TF2 addiction, and have been playing a variety of tower defence games to distract me while I wait for Diablo3 to launch!

Alexei

Hi I’m Alexei and I’m here to blow stuff up

Tom

Hi, I’m Tom and I’m primarily here to make sure Alexei doesn’t do too much damage. Beyond that, I’m the Finance Manager at Kwalee and besides the obvious I help run the office and work closely with Mark to ensure our talented programmers and artists have the right tools and environment to produce high quality work. Day to day tasks can include producing financial reports, liaising with external suppliers and contacts, recruitment and honing my overarm table tennis serves. Like Lizzie, I too have an addiction to crisps but always keep them locked in my cupboard and nibble them very quietly. Shhh!

Lizzie

I WILL find your key Tom.

I’m just gutted that I’ve been given a smaller set of drawers at my new desk, so no longer have a designated crisp drawer! Where am I going to store all of these: http://instagr.am/p/KCelCyzGML/ ??

Leigh

Hello,

My name is Leigh. I discovered the fair lands of Kwalee through the many informative, controversial, mysterious, unique and surprising comments of one Bruce Everiss over at Games Industry biz.

I’m a Software QA Warrior by day and a gaming enthusiast by night, dabbling occasionally in journalism, for giggles. I spend most of my gaming on the PC (naturally, as the superior platform :P ), followed by my Xbox, closely followed by my iPhone.

Keep up the good work, keep on smiling, love the blue hair Jay.

END.
